Lingnan University Anti-adversity Graduate Employment & Training Programme (Updated on 9 Aug 2022)

The “Graduate Support Fund” is set up to provide assistance primarily to recent Lingnan graduates from our bachelor degree programmes (hereafter refer as “the graduates”) in job seeking when our economy is adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under this funding scheme, the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) established the Lingnan University Anti-adversity Graduate Employment & Training Programme to provide graduate employment support for the graduates who are in need of guidance and assistance in job search and additional training and learning opportunities. The Programme covers the following 4 areas:

Graduate Mentoring Programme with Lingnan’s Council members / CDC members

OSA will support to organize the Graduate Mentoring Programme with Lingnan’s Council members / CDC members. The programme will offer the following activities engaging our Council members/Career Development Committee members:

  • Online Mock Interviews :To enhance students’ interview and presentation skills especially for video interviews which are commonly used by most employers nowadays

  • Online Mini-circle Meetings :To enable students understanding more about different professions/industries and related requirements so as to facilitate their career preparation and development

  • Supplementary Lingnanian Executive Mentoring Programme (LEMP) 2019-20 :To enable final year students learning from senior business executives about their career success stories as well as updated job market information and job hunting tips (for non-current LEMP students)​​

Graduate / Internship Employment Support

OSA will provide subsidy for employers who are offering graduate employment / graduate internship opportunities to Lingnan graduates of 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21 and 2021/22 from our bachelor degree programmes.

Professional Training & Scholarship

OSA will cooperate with professional associations, to provide 3-6 months’ programme consists of training workshops, seminars, company visit, professional examinations, and internship with link to graduate employment when possible. The graduates who successfully complete the programme with excellent performance will be awarded a scholarship on top of the salary paid by the company during the internship/ training period.

One-off Graduate Development Subsidy

OSA will subsidize the graduates in taking up other learning activities (local or non-local) to further enhance their employability upon graduation (e.g. skill-based short courses, professional examinations etc.). Full-time / part-time study of academic degree porgrammes and/or postgraduate programmes are not covered.
