Wellness Journey at Lingnan (嶺南「澄心之旅」)
Looking after your mental health is not difficult, but vital. According to World Health Organization’s definition: Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Regarding our mental health, research suggested that practices of awareness can promote resilience, well-being, and reducing stress and anxiety. We develop this wellness journey for students to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through the campus peaceful environment and some simple practices.
每個人都應該好好照顧自己的精神健康,即我們的身心靈。照顧精神健康其實沒有想像中困難。根據世界衛生組織的定義:健康是指身體、心理和社會狀況都處於良好的狀態,而不僅僅是沒有疾病。研究亦顯示,進行有意識的覺察練習可提升心理韌性、幸福感並減輕壓力和焦慮。為此,我們為學生精心打造一趟「澄心之旅」,通過在校園幽美靜謐的環境中做一些小練習,分享促進身心靈健康的生活方式。
With that in mind, we encourage you to develop your own wellness practice, starting from a taster experience by participating a series of tasks along this wellness journey. This journey will guide you walk through the whole campus in a mindful way —giving you a boost of calm, focused, connect with natural energy, awakening your inner reflection as well as brining your attention fully presence in the moment.
我們鼓勵您建立照顧自己心理健康的習慣。就從這個初嚐體驗開始,逐步養成生活習慣。澄心之旅會帶領您以另一種獨特心境專注地走遍整個校園,在旅途上透過完成一系列別出心裁的練習,會使您更加鎮定自若和專注,體會與大自然連結,喚醒您的內省能力,並全然地享受活在當下。
Welcome to join the Wellness Journey. To win the souvenir by completing 10 mindful tasks and submitting the post-journey reflective activity. You are also welcome to take photos of cats in Lingnan University during your journey, and upload them to social media with #LUcats.
