Description:
In today’s education system of Hong Kong, those poor and under-privileged children are easily been neglected, deprived and abandoned, and they have no one to turn to. With the support of many generous people in the society who act as volunteer teachers, the Principal Chan Free Tutorial World, which is an NGO recognized by the HKSAR Government, provides absolutely free and one-to-one tutorials to the under-privileged children who have financial difficulties. What the organization aims to do is to give a fair chance of learning to those who aspire to learn. This Briefing and Training Session of the LU Volunteer Teachers Scheme is designed to facilitate interested parties in knowing more about the background of Principal Chan Free Tutorial World, as well as background and details of the LU Volunteer Teachers Scheme. This session is especially suitable to students who have an initial interest in the LU Volunteer Teachers Scheme and wish to have a glimpse of the Scheme before joining.
