1. Online Registration
1.1 Online Registration - Dates & Time Slots

The online registration is scheduled from 13 to 14 September 2022 (add/drop period: 15 to 16 September 2022). The online registration can be processed through the internet(myLingnan Portal). Please refer to the time schedule below and click into http://myportal.LN.edu.hk for enrolment.

The dates and timeslots above may not apply to certain students, therefore students must check their registration status to avoid discrepancies.

For students who were absent from ILP activities 3 times or more in the last semester, i.e. Term 2, 2021-22, can only register during the online add-drop period, 15 to 16 September 2022.

The quota of most ILP activities will be evenly allocated in each time slot during the days of online registration period in order to provide equal opportunities for students.

1.2 Online Add-drop – Dates & Time Slots

Online Add-drop is scheduled for 15 to 16 September 2022 . The online add-drop can be processed through the internet(myLingnan Portal). Please refer to the time schedule below and click into http://myportal.LN.edu.hk for enrolment. Please note that no add-drop will be entertained after 16 September 2022 under normal circumstances. Dropping an activity after that date will only be entertained with valid reasons such as mid-term tests .

1.3 Arrangement on Fee-paying activities

Some of the ILP activities require fees and/or deposits. Students who have registered for a fee-paying activity (fees/deposits) should settle the payment online via myLingnan portal to confirm the registration within the payment period. Otherwise, the registration will be cancelled.

Students who do not have a credit card can settle the payment by cash by the next working day of their registration, during 10:00 – 12:30 and 13:30 - 16:00 at OSA (WYLG01/18).

Things to note:

Deposit is only refundable (i) after the completion of full course/activity or the attendance requirement is fulfilled OR (ii) when the course/activity is cancelled due to low enrollment.

Course fee is only refundable when the course/activity is cancelled due to low enrollment.

Please make sure your bank account information is updated in myLingnan Portal (http://myportal.LN.edu.hk) before the completion of any course/activity, otherwise, the refund may be forfeited.

Click "Academics" → "Student Services" → "View Student Bank Account Information" to update your bank account information.

1.4 Restriction on Registration

Each student is allowed to take a maximum of 30 ILP units during the online registration. The registration system will not allow students to enrol more than 30 ILP units in this round of registration. This arrangement is implemented to prevent students from over-enrolment so that the places can be allocated evenly to students.

To make the best use of the limited resources, OSA reserves the right to lower the enrolment priority of students who have already met the 75 ILP unit requirements.

1.5 Time Conflict Function

As confirmed by the Registry, the time conflict function will be activated. Please ensure your availability before enrolling in any ILP activity and avoid crashing with academic classes.

1.6 Exchange Students

Exchange students who study one or two terms at Lingnan University are not required to take ILP, but they are also welcome to join any ILP activities whenever seats are available. For inquiry, please contact ilpcom@LN.edu.hk.

2. Additional ILP activities after Online Registration

Various departments, student societies and Office of Student Affairs may offer additional ILP activities to students each month. Students should pay attention to corresponding emails, social media and posters to look for updates.

Students are encouraged to print out their registration records after online registration and attend the ILP activities accordingly.
